Benchlytics is operated by David Harkins Company and its subsidiary entities. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit benchlytics.com, use our the platform, request a report, or submit data as a consortium member. It also explains how we use that information and the rights you have over it.

Information we collect

We collect information in two ways: information you provide directly and information collected automatically when you use our site.

Information you provide:

• Contact information (name, email address, phone number, job title) submitted through report request or membership application forms
• Organization information (name, EIN, website, revenue range) submitted through our forms
• Performance data submitted by consortium members as part of their quarterly data contribution
• Communications you send us by email or through our contact forms

Information collected automatically:

• Log data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on pages
• Cookies necessary for site functionality and session management

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. We do not sell data to advertisers.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and fulfill report requests
• Review and respond to membership applications
• Communicate with you about your account, reports, and data submissions
• Generate and update benchmark reports and datasets
• Improve and maintain the benchlytics.com platform
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

How we handle benchmark data

Benchmark data submitted by consortium members is handled with particular care:

• Your organization’s identifier is cryptographically separated from your submitted performance data before it enters the benchmark dataset
• Benchmark data is stored without any directly identifying information attached to it
• Cohort benchmarks are suppressed when fewer than 10 organizations contribute data to prevent inadvertent identification
• No individual organization’s data is ever published or shared in a form that allows identification
• Access to identity resolution within the dataset is restricted to authorized Benchlytics staff for purposes of data quality review only

These protections apply to all data submitted as part of consortium membership, regardless of the tier.

When we share information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who operate our platform infrastructure (hosting, email delivery, payment processing) under data processing agreements that restrict their use of your data
• When required by law, court order, or regulatory requirement
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of Benchlytics or others
• With your explicit consent for any other purpose

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Data retention

We retain your contact and account information for as long as your account or relationship with Benchlytics is active, and for a reasonable period thereafter in case of questions or disputes.

Benchmark data contributed as part of consortium membership is retained for the life of the research program and used in historical trend analysis unless you request deletion. Deletion of contributed data may affect the accuracy of historical benchmarks for all consortium members.

If you would like your personal information deleted, contact us at privacy@benchlytics.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and operational limitations
• Opt out of any marketing communications at any time
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. These measures include encrypted data storage, access controls, and cryptographic separation of identity data from benchmark data.

Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the site, including session cookies that allow you to remain logged in to the the platform. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect your ability to use the the platform.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active members by email. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated. Continued use of benchlytics.com after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
